Math literacy is supported through activities including: 

• Aligning curriculum and assessment with NYS Math Core documents
• Assessment strategies for the inquiry-based classroom
  Professional development initiatives that connect research and classroom practice
• Training grade level scoring leaders for the New York State grades 3 - 8 math assessments
• Training for teachers new to scoring the NY State assessments
• Professional development in analyzing the format and demands of the new Integrated Algebra assessments to be first administered in June 2008
• Training differentiating instructional and assessment strategies K - 12
• Developing viable programs to deliver AIS services in mathematics
• District, grade level, and individual classroom support in effective, inquiry-based strategies and pedagogy in instruction and assessment
• Support in diagnostic, formative and summative assessments
• Math audits, K - 12
