Greatnet is our Genesee Valley BOCES distance learning network. Previously, school districts were restricted by phone latas as to who and where they were able to connect with. Now, through Internet Protocol technologies, we are able to connect to any site within the LakeNet or outside our network. New York State Regional Information Centers are committed to implementing statewide connectivity. Be on the watch!

Meetings are held to promote the usage of videoconferencing equipment among our districts that will have direct impact on student achievement. Vendors, content providers, and other BOCES programs have presented to the group for continuous evolvement of distance learning programs.

Meeting dates are scheduled for:
November 28, 2007, January 23, 2008, March 26, 2008, and May 28, 2008.
