The Eastern Suffolk Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) is seeking a visionary, innovative, and insightful, educational leader for the position of Chief Operating Officer in the First Supervisory District of Suffolk County. The supervisory district encompasses 51 component school districts.

The Chief Operating Officer of a BOCES is responsible for providing leadership to the BOCES agency and the school districts served within the supervisory district. The Board is committed to hiring a leader who is aligned to the vison, values, and goals of the Eastern Suffolk BOCES. The Board is seeking a Chief Operating Officer who will be authentic and approachable, while articulating the mission of Eastern Suffolk BOCES, and advocating for the needs of the agency and the region. The candidate needs to have demonstrated experience fostering a professional culture that is equitable and inclusive, and be a skilled communicator who can inspire the confidence and trust of others.

New York State SDA or SDL certification required. The Board is prepared to offer a regionally competitive compensation package.

SALARY: $ 250,000 - $ 275,000

START DATE: March 1, 2024 or sooner
