The Records Management CoSer provides a multitude of document organization and safekeeping services in compliance with the NY State Archives guidelines. The CoSer provides districts with a long-term solution to storage and retrievals for their permanent or long-term retention records. Some of the services that are provided by the Records Management CoSer include:
- Scanning per the LGS-1 Records Retention and Disposition Schedule
- Create projects within the Electronic Document Management System
- Make necessary repairs to the documents before scanning
- Index all scanned images
- Verification of scanned images
- Provide storage space for microfilm rolls
- Perform records retrievals from microfilm, the server, and paper records
- Convert microfilm to digital images to be stored on our server for quicker retrieval and high-quality images
- Provide districts with records management consulting services to help determine what should be scanned
- Provide BOCES and Component Schools with shredding service
