CTE Students Earn Top Scores at NYS FBLA Competition

Kudos to our Mount Morris Career and Technical Education (CTE) Computer Information Systems students who competed and placed in the 2022 FBLA New York Competition. These top-ranking students now qualify to compete in the national FBLA Competition that will take place in June in Chicago, Illinois.

Larry Harvey, Computer Information Systems (CIS) Instructor at the Mount Morris CTE Center shared why and how these experiences benefit students.

“FBLA is a great organization that helps young adults prepare for the future. Through our CIS program, these students have an opportunity to showcase their knowledge and compete against other students throughout the state. Many of our students do so well that they are then given the opportunity to represent New York state at the national level,” Harvey said. “These competitions help foster skills needed in teamwork, they strengthen positive social and emotional learning, and improve risk analysis, something you can't learn from reading a book,” Harvey said.

Congratulations to these students!
