The Genesee Valley BOCES Board of Education has officially begun the search for the next District Superintendent. The Board is working with Dr. David O’Rourke of Erie 2 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES, who is serving as search consultant to assist in identifying and selecting an outstanding candidate to lead our organization.

The Board is committed to a thoughtful and inclusive search process and is seeking input from stakeholders across the BOCES community. Faculty, staff, parents, students, and community members are encouraged to participate in a Thought Exchange survey to share their perspectives on the qualities and priorities important for our next District Superintendent.

The survey will remain open until March 6, 2026, and all responses will be carefully reviewed by the Board as part of the selection process.

Key milestones in the search process include:

• Application deadline: April 10, 2026

• Preliminary interviews: April 27–29, 2026

• Final interviews: May 19–21, 2026

• Anticipated appointment: July 2026

• New Superintendent to assume duties: August 2026
