This program is offered to adults who wish to take their state licensing examination for Practical Nursing and is taught in two semesters. Below gives an outline of this program.

Alyssa Coffey, BSN, RN
Regional Medical Career Programs Coordinator
Coffey has been a nurse since 2011 and active in the medical field since 2004. Her experience as a charge nurse encompasses acute care settings, as well as high-risk obstetrics. In her previous role at the University of Rochester Medical Center, she supervised, supported, and trained new nurses in proper techniques, care standards, operational procedures, and safety protocols. Coffey holds an Associate Degree in Nursing from Genesee Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Rochester School of Nursing. She is currently working towards her master’s degree in Nursing Administration and Leadership from Roberts Wesleyan University as well.
Marisa Dale, MS,RN
Lead Specialist of LPN & CNA Programs
Dale has been a nurse since 1995. She completed her AAS in nursing at Monroe Community College. She holds a BS in nursing as well as a master's in nursing education from St. John Fisher College. Dale has worked in a variety of settings, from coronary care units at both Rochester General Hospital and Strong Memorial Hospital, Community Health Nurse, Nurse Manager, and Rehab Nursing. Formerly, Dale also served as an RN instructor at Monroe Community College.
Janet Green, MSHS, RN
Green has been a nurse since 1981. Much of her career has been spent in emergency medicine and supervision. She is also the Health Director for Genesee Rotary Camp, which is a summer camp for special-needs children. Green holds a dual BS degree and has her master’s degree in Health Sciences.

Transcript Policy and Form
Genesee Valley BOCES – School of Practical Nursing Transcript Policy and Procedure Policy
Transcripts are available exclusively to former Practical Nursing students who have successfully completed the program. Official transcripts can be sent to external parties, while students typically receive a copy upon completion. Please note that a fee of $5 will be charged for each transcript request.
To request a transcript, please contact our Business Office at **585-344-7704**. When making your request, be prepared to provide the following information:
1. Full Name: (as it appeared during your attendance)
2. Date of Birth
3. Location and Dates of Program Attendance
4. Recipient's Name and Address (where the transcript should be sent)
5. Last Four Digits of Social Security Number (may be required for verification)
In unique circumstances, students may request an official transcript in a sealed envelope with a security seal. Please be aware that once the seal is broken, the transcript is rendered void.
