With the beautiful weather this week, our Animal Science students at Mount Morris CTE had the perfect opportunity to complete their Horse Module with a hands-on grooming day! Our pony, Mary Poppins, and our horse, Sunny, enjoyed some well-deserved pampering as students practiced their equine care skills. From brushing and mane care to bonding with these gentle animals, it was a rewarding and educational experience for everyone involved!

This weekend, students from the Mount Morris CTE Culinary Arts program competed in the New York Restaurant Association's ProStart Invitational Culinary Competition at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. The team secured 3rd place in New York State! The competition team included:

Tonight, the enrichment program hosted the final round of the Scholastic Bowl. The remaining teams were from Pembroke CSD, Akron CSD, and Notre Dame. It was a close and competitive match, with all teams performing well. In the end, Pembroke secured first place, Akron finished second, and Notre Dame took third. The event showcased the students' knowledge and teamwork. It was an exciting conclusion to the competition. Congratulations to Pembroke CSD on their victory, and great job to Akron and Notre Dame for their strong performances in the Scholastic Bowl final!

Batavia CTE students in Auto Technology and Diesel collaborated this week for a special learning experience. A NAPA manager traveled from Georgia to give a presentation on the business and the manufacturing of parts. After the session, students headed into the shop to gain hands-on experience. Together, they learned the process of performing a car alignment.
